Below are the declarations made by the Rengma Region NNC/FGN as resolved in the meeting -1. The people of the Rengma Region have always followed the democratic means of electing leaders as practiced by our forefathers- however big or small the villages, Town, Khel or Colony may be and will thus continue to uphold the principles of democracy. 2. The leaders of the Western and Eastern Free Nagas under the banner of NNC and leadership of A.Z. Phizo after the voluntary plebiscite of 1951 came together to further make peace and to strengthen the brotherly bond among the Eastern and the Western Nagas- to unite together under one Nation one Government and one Constitution, that the Naga country will be called as Nagaland was decided and the Zisunyu village Rengma Region people were asked to prepare a Naga Dao for the Eastern Free Naga people as a symbol of traditional peacemaking and strengthening of brotherhood - thus under A.Z. Phizo’s leadership along with the Eastern Free Naga leaders, the name of the Naga country was declared as Nagaland on the 4th of March 1955 at Poübon area and on the 18th of September 1955 Mr. Thungti Chang of the Chang Region was appointed as the Eastern Free Nagas Honking Government Home Guard Chief. On the 27th and the 28th of December 1955 from Phekerükriema Angami Region Mr. Zasieve was appointed as the Western Nagas Voluntary Youths’ President. On the 5th of January 1956 the Eastern Free Nagas Honking Govt. Home Guard Chief and the Western Nagas Voluntary Youths’ President along with the other Naga leaders under the leadership of A.Z. Phizo in a meeting unanimously elected Mr. Thungti Chang as the Nagaland Home Guard Chief and also appointed Generals for the Western, Southern, Northern and Centre (HQ) Nagas at Khenyu Village Rengma Region. On 22nd March 1956 under the leadership and presence of A.Z. Phizo, NNC President, Whenha Rengma, Federal President of Nagaland, and Thungti Chang, Nagaland Home Guard Chief, the Federal Republic Government of Nagaland flag was hoisted at Perashen Rengma Region, the flag hoisted by Mr. Thungti Chang. The first Tatar Hoho was then held on the 15th and 16th of July 1956 at Lakhuti Lotha Region out of which the YEZABOH of the Federal Government of Nagaland came into being. As decided by the Tatar Hoho, on the 28th of July 1956 a farewell service was held at Phenshünyu Village Baptist Church Rengma Region for A.Z. Phizo before his departure to U.K., London. Till today the people of the Rengma Region have continuously upheld the true spirit of Nationalism and have abstained from all activities that are anti-Naga or anti-Yezaboh in nature and have played no part in the creation of any terror factions responsible for the death of so many innocent Nagas and stale developmental progress.3. After the international cease fire agreement between the Federal Government of Nagaland and the Government of India on 6th September 1964 some few educated Nagas selfishly exploited the will of the ignorant Naga people for their individual gain along the tribal lines and clans wallowing upon the GOI’s economic packages while creating divisions and factions among the fellow Nagas. In the heart of their actions breed anti-Naga, anti-Yezaboh, anti-plebiscite and the root of all confusion which have destroyed the diversity and peace among the Nagas. Many innocent people of the Rengma Region have lost their lives in the meaningless crusade of such terror factions, therefore, if any persons/individual of the Rengma Region, now and then, indulges in anti-Nagas, anti-Yezaboh or anti-plebiscite activities or subscribes to the likes or creation of any such terror factions he/she alone will be subjected to shoulder the blood of the thousand of innocents spilled as per the law as justified and written in the Yezaboh.4. If any Naga Region, now and then, which while upholding the Yezaboh and the Plebiscite of the Naga people is unable to contain the masses of its respective region in indulging in anti-Plebiscite and anti-Yezaboh activities, in ushering or in creation of any terrorist factions, in indulging in anti-developmental activities of Nagaland in its respective region or outside ones’ region and in spilling the blood of the innocents, such individual/factions and the respective Region concerned will shoulder the destruction and the blood of the thousand of innocents spilled as per the law as justified and written in the Yezaboh.
