Dimapur, August 24 (EMN): Various departments have submitted reports on the damaged caused by monsoon rain during the quarterly meeting of the Kohima District Disaster Management Authority held on August 24 under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan.
Addressing the house, DC informed that the formats should be filled by the line departments, agencies, organisations adding the whole exercise will be coordinated uniformly by the District Collector.
The house discussed on village disaster management authority, Indian Disaster Resource Network and damage caused in the district.
DIO, Kohima, Lorin said District Magistrate is the only authority to coordinate with the line departments and suggested on the State level coordination for building inventory data base, data entry through online application and the data collection in paper formats.
Various departments like R&B, EE Power, PHE, Nagaland Emergency Preparedness Exercise (NEPEX), Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) and other departments presented reports.
The Deputy Commissioner informed the members to update the format and submit the same to DC office on or before September 15.
