Dimapur, Aug. 19 (EMN): Taking serious concern of the illegal immigrant issue and other pertinent matters in the society, the Dimapur District Gaon Burahs’ Association (DDGBA) in consonance with its eight administrative units along with Lotha and Ao GBs, after a joint meeting in Dimapur on Aug 18, has directed GB of respective village or town not to issue Permanent Residential Certificates (PRC) or Temporary Residential Certificates (TRC) without proper verification of documents of those applying for the same.
A press release received here, informed that the association has resolved to extend full support to ‘joint committee on prevention of the illegal immigrants.’
It also resolved to request govt. administration 'not to entertain or honour any certificate certified by non-Naga GB'.
The meeting resolved to request the seven administrative units under the association to mobilise and support to form a chairmens’ unions in each respective units in rural areas to assist in the smooth functioning of the village or colony administration.
While reminding the Nagaland government about other states like Assam and Meghalaya 'not implementing (aadhaar) but enjoying all the benefits of the central govt.', the meeting resolved to strongly oppose the use of aadhaar card being made mandatory in the entire official requirements of the state.
Further, the meeting resolved to extend support to the call for 'one govt. one tax system' initiated by the Against Corruption and Unabated Taxation (ACAUT).
