DDBA elects new office bearers

Dimapur, April 2 (EMN): Dimapur District Badminton Association (DDBA) has elected a new team of office bearers for the tenure 2017-2021 during the annual general meeting cum election of new office bearers at DDBA Indoor stadium, Dimapur on Sunday. The new team will be led by Vikugha Chophi as president, Tali Akang- vice president, Dr. Molusen- general secretary, Alem Pongen-Treasurer, Asungba Ao- Info & publicity secretary and Ichet and Along as joint secretaries. Besides, 13 executive members and 6 advisors have also been nominated. During the meeting the members approved the general secretary and treasurer’s report, adoption of annual report, DDBA constitution and affiliation of club members with DDBA. It was also resolved that an annual membership fee of Rs. 2000/ will be collected from every bonafide members of the club. During the meeting the members also discuss for the forthcoming North East Masters tournament to be held tentatively in the first week of May 2017 to be hosted by DDBA under the banner of Nagaland Badminton Association. Outgoing president, Dr. Watizulu thanked all the members for their support and cooperation rendered towards the success of the club. Further he also acknowledged the players from the district for bringing laurels in various events.
