Dimapur, March 27 (EMN): Tuensang district Congress committee (DCC) has condemned the act of 6 rebel NPF legislators, all from Eastern Nagaland, declaring with their signatures to go against their party and to support PDA candidate of BJP, NDPP, and JD (U) in the ensuing Lok Sabha election.
Tuensang DCC, in a press release issued by its president N Mosha, stated that it was extremely disturbed to see new low state politics created by six MLAs from Eastern Nagaland. It stated that a time has come to wake them up from dreaming that they are in the ruling bench to keep appreciating of the change brought by the PDA, when change is nowhere to be found especially in Eastern Nagaland and specifically in their respective constituencies. DCC added that it is a direct insult to the concerned suffering public and has brought great shame to talk about change.
Tuensang DCC claimed that it completely failed to grasp the “regionalism” in which the six MLAs were trying to protect by supporting the BJP/ RSS agendas.
The DCC reminded that PDA had rejected the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) of the BJP but still stand together with BJP even after BJP had clearly declared its stand for CAB, if voted back to power. The DCC also advised the six rebel NPF MLAs to simply declare that ‘they are hunting for money and does everything for money, instead of trying to fool the public by raising irrelevant issues.’
It further appealed to all the voters of Nagaland to stand unitedly for secularism and defeat CAB in the coming Lok Sabha election.
