DIMAPUR — The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Zunheboto, has issued a strong warning against the rampant and unauthorised collection of money under the pretext of student registration fees from non-indigenous inhabitants in Zunheboto town.
In an official notice, Deputy Commissioner Dharam Raj stated that such practices by individuals or organisations are illegal and constitute a punishable offence.
Raj cautioned that strict action will be taken against any individual or organisation found engaging in such unlawful activities.

The DC further clarified that the verification of Inner Line Permit (ILP) will be strictly carried out only by the district administration or other authorised government agencies, and that no civilian or civil society organisation is permitted to impose fines or penalties on individuals in connection with ILP regulations.
Any violation in this regard shall invite punitive measures, the notice stated.
The DC emphasised that the directive has been issued for strict adherence and compliance, urging the public to refrain from such unauthorised practices.
