- Reviewing the last DPDB meeting minutes, he reminded those
departments that have not yet submitted their office land status to expedite
the process. Those with land free of legal issues and purchased outright were
instructed to initiate the acquisition of land patta. Vineet also stated that a
request has been sent to the government for the purchase of smaller fire
tenders.
- Further, the DC lauded the medical department for completing
100 days of the TB campaign. He also informed attendees that the vision
document for banana cultivation will be finalised at the next DPDB meeting.
- Regarding the ice plant at Doyang, constructed in 2012, an
official from the concerned department reported that the plant requires a
constant power supply. However, due to the distance factor, the necessary power
supply could not be arranged. On May 6, 2013, the plant was outsourced to a
society, but this arrangement did not succeed. Consequently, the official
added, it was decided to escalate the matter to the Chief Minister and Chief
Secretary of Nagaland.
- Other agendas of the day included approval for the
establishment of Joyingo village under the Sanis sub-division, improvement of
the football ground and construction of a rostrum at Bailey Baptist College
Wokha, construction of a Bailey bridge at Lanchuju River in Riphyim village,
Wokha district, and the formation of an Advisory Youth Council.
