Dimapur, July 18 (EMN): Taking note of the disaster related issues and flood like situations at many colonies in Dimapur due to incessant rainfall, Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, Kesonyu Yhome, requested all the officers and various agencies including the paramilitary and uniformed personnel to extend every possible help whenever their services are required and asked them to remain vigilant.
The Deputy Commissioner made this appeal during meeting with civil societies, CRPF, Assam Rifles, administrative officials and officers of Dimapur district on July 14 in his office conference hall, Dimapur. The meeting was held in connection with the forthcoming Independence Day celebration on August 15.In the meeting, various work assignments were entrusted to different departments for celebration. It was also decided that march past practice for the contingents would commence from August 8 to 13.
Yhome reminded all the stakeholders that occasions like Republic Day and Independence Day are national days and urged upon all the members especially the civil societies to render all possible help through their participation besides financial and material assistance to make the celebration a grand success.
With regard to the Home Department’s circular inviting for citations and recommendations for award of Governor’s Gold Medal/commendation certificates, the DC informed the departments and other agencies to collect the prescribed format from the DC’s office. The DC further informed to submit the same before the July 22.
