DIMAPUR — Deputy Commissioner of Phek Rhosietho Nguori was formally inducted as the district president of Phek District Bharat Scouts and Guides during a ceremony held at the office chamber of the deputy commissioner of Phek on Tuesday.


The induction ceremony was administered by John Tochimong, SOC (Scouts), assisted by Om Prakash Gupta, SC (Cub), according to a DIPR report.


In his address as the district president of Bharat Scouts and Guides, Nguori assured his support towards the growth of Bharat Scouts and Guides in the district.

The deputy commissioner called upon authorities of schools in Phek to embrace the scouting and guiding movement in order to nurture responsible and service-minded citizens.


State Chief Commissioner for Bharat Scouts and Guides, Chubanungla, in her speech, expressed her sincere appreciation and congratulated the deputy commissioner for his new assignment as the district president of Bharat Scouts and Guides.


She also conveyed her gratitude to heads of institutions in Phek for their willingness to be part of the Bharat Scouts and Guides.


Vimezhonu Tetso, SOC (Guides), highlighted the crucial role of the district president in advancing scouting and guiding activities in the district.


On the occasion of the induction ceremony, Christian Home School, Phek, set an example by enrolling all its students under the Bharat Scouts and Guides.
