DC Phek launches Vahan 4.0

Dimapur, Nov. 16 (EMN): Phek deputy commissioner, Orethung Lotha formally launched the Vahan 4.0 for Phek district on Nov. 16 at the district transport office, Phek. Vahan is a web-enabled online application which aims to provide real-time availability of vehicle/driving licence details/information for quality of service delivery to the citizens, government departments and stake holders. Under Vahan 4.0, once the vehicle is registered, the owner will received payment of tax confirmation on their registered mobile number along with the application number through SMS both from the department as well as the bank portal. The DC, while speaking at the launching programme, said Phek district is fortunate for having such type of facilities and urged the gathering to avail the service to get benefits. SP Phek, public leaders, vehicle owners and others attended the programme.
