DC Phek issues travel advisory

DIMAPUR — Deputy Commissioner of Phek, Kumar Ramnikant has informed that there will be temporary restriction of all light and heavy vehicles at Km 30,220 (near Kidima Road, Chakhabama) and Km 53,474 (near Kikruma village, on NH-29.

The DC in a travel advisory stated that due to continuous heavy rainfall over the past few days, this stretch of NH-29, specifically from design Km 29,600 to Km 51.5, has experienced multiple landslides and rockfalls.

“These hazardous conditions pose a risk to the lives of travelers and the general public,” the advisory stated.

Travellers have been advised to take an alternative route via Zuketsu-Kidima until further notice from the deputy commissioner's office, Phek.
