DC Phek issues new SOP for returnees

Kohima, Aug. 11 (EMN):
Following the Home department’s notification with regard to returnees and travellers entering the state of Nagaland after August 10, the Phek district administration has issued new guidelines, which would come into effect on August 11.

In a notification, the deputy commissioner, Phek, Sachin Jaiswal informed that the guidelines relating to institutional quarantine centres would apply to all the new returnees entering the district with effect from August 10. It informed that every returnee should undergo seven-day mandatory institutional quarantine and 14 days in home quarantine.

The notification also stated that the returnees in the institutional quarantine facility would be charged for food with an amount of INR 350 per day. It also stated that returnees could make arrangement for their own food from outside. It stated that food arranged from outside should be mandatorily packed in a single-use disposable containers and preferably of biodegradable materials.

Further, it informed that the returnees, on completion of their institutional quarantine period, should arrange their own mode of transportation for going home.
