Mokokchung, March 25 (EMN): In connection with the Covid-19 lockdown in the state, deputy commissioner, Mokokchung, Limawabang Jamir issued an order on Wednesday imposing regulations for purchasing essential commodities with effect from March 26 onward.
The order stated, “the following regulations are hereby imposed for purchasing of essential commodities in Mokokchung district with effect from March 26, 2020, till further order."
It has ordered 25 kg of rice, one kg dal, one litre oil, one kg milk powder, one kg sugar and one kg tea leaf per family.
It also ordered the shopkeepers for strict compliance of the above mentioned regulations. It warned that any person/group acting in violation of the order would be deemed to have committed an offence punishable under section 188 of IPC.
