DC Mokokchung informs public

Dimapur, Feb. 25 (EMN): Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Limawabang Jamir, has directed all concerned individuals to refrain themselves from carrying out any further unauthorised developmental activities over the land within the right of way (RoW) along the NH-02 stretch starting from Km 135 (Alichen) to Km 147 (Sewak Gate), Km156 (DEF) to Km 168 (Yisemyong) and Km 185 (Unger) to Km 220 (Assam Rifle Gate, Tuli ).

In a notification, the DC informed that assessment for property damage compensation for buildings/ structures for widening of single lane to 2 lane of NH-02 along the mentioned stretch has already been carried out and completed by the NH team and line departments along with the district administration in co-ordination with the concerned village councils.

It informed that any new developmental activities by way of constructing buildings/ structures within the earmarked RoW would not be accounted for compensation. It further informed that all such buildings/ structures constructed and those under construction would be at the risk of the concerned individuals.
