Dimapur, Sep. 14 (EMN): The Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer (DEO), Longleng has informed all BLOs and supervisors of 49 AC, Tamlu and 50 AC, Longleng that the Election Commission of India has announced the schedule for Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Roll with reference to January 1, 2018 as the qualifying date. All BLOs and supervisors are therefore directed to strictly comply with the schedule of revision given below.
Draft publication of rolls-October 3; period of filing claims and objection-October 3 to 31; reading of relevant part/section of photo electoral rolls in local bodies meeting etc., and verification of names- October 13 and 27; special campaign dates with booth level agents of political parties for receiving claims and objections- October 14 and 28; disposal of claims and objections- November 30; updating the database merging of photographs, updating the control tables and preparation and printing of supplementary list- December 20; and final publication of electoral rolls- January 5, 2018.
