DIMAPUR — Kumar Ramnikant, deputy commissioner of Kohima, has informed the public about designated parking areas for two-wheeler taxis and bus stops, pickups, and drop-offs for city buses, with the goal of improving public safety and traffic management in the city.`
According to a DIPR update, the following designated areas have been notified for strict compliance:
Two-wheeler taxi parking: High School Junction parking has been relocated to the designated area outside the L-Khel Building, Peraciezie.
City bus stops, pick-ups, and drop-offs: For Secretariat-bound buses, the designated area is outside Vishal Mart, with a limit of 2 buses at a time. For NPSC office-bound buses, the designated area is before reaching the Nagaland Civil Secretariat main entrance, with a limit of 1 bus at a time.

Town-bound buses: opposite Nagaland Civil Secretariat Gate No. 2, with a limit of two buses at a time and outside Axis Bank ATM, opposite Vishal Mart, with a limit of three buses at a time.
The order emphasised that parking on both sides of the road is strictly prohibited, and that city buses and two-wheeler taxis should only use the designated stops/parking areas.
“Violators will face penalties in accordance with the provisions of the law,” noted the update.
