Dimapur, Feb. 7 (EMN): Deputy Commissioner of Kohima Gregory Thejawelie on Monday issued revised Covid directives for implementation in Kohima district till February 15.
All the existing restrictions in the district for preventing the spread of Covid-19 as issued in the earlier orders including those on social/religious/political/sports/academic/cultural/ entertainment gatherings etc will continue, an update from DPRO Kohima informed.
The offline/physical classes for students of classes 1 to 8 is allowed up to 50% attendance from February 15 subject to parental consent of the student concerned. For students who do not have parental consent to attend physical/offline classed, the present system of online teaching by the schools would be continued, it said.
All other conditions on vaccination, testing and other generic preventive measures and planning, as mandated in the SOP dated February 4 will be fulfilled and intimated to the District Task Force (DTF) Kohima during application for permission, it stated,
It stated that permission of DTF Kohima may be sought through the District Education Officer, Kohima or applications may also be sent to warroomkohima@gmail.com.
Any person/group of persons acting in violation of the above directions, as well as all the other existing orders/SOPs/guidelines, for preventing the spread of Covid-19, would be liable to be prosecuted against under the relevant sections of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, besides action under Section 1 88 of IPC and other legal provisions, it added.
