KIPHIRE — A programme for Sampoornta Abhiya Samman Samaroh at the district level in Kiphire, with Temsuwati Longkumer, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kiphire, as the special guest, was held at Hopongkyu Memorial Hall in Kiphire on Tuesday.
The DC, on the occasion, lauded departments that have made strong progress and encouraged those that are still lagging behind.
The DC said that it is not easy being selected as an aspirational district, but they were chosen because there are areas where they are still lagging behind, although improvements have been made in some.
He reminded everyone that change takes time, adding that what is seen today is not a sudden shift but a gradual transformation over the past few years. He said there is still a long way to go, but significant progress has also been made.

The DC thanked both the central and state governments for their constant support and praised the hard work of officers, especially those working on the ground. He said that despite all the challenges, the teams have given their best and that today is a day to celebrate that.
He also spoke about the meaning of the Sampoornta Abhiyaan, a government campaign that aims to ensure every citizen receives the benefits to which they are entitled. He said that this was not just a formal gathering but a moment to reflect on how far Kiphire had come and how much further it could go.
Longkumer explained that the word Sampoornta stands for completeness, reaching every person in every corner, no matter how remote. He said this mission is a call from the Government of India to leave no one behind — not a child, not a farmer, not a mother, nor an elder.
The DC added that Kiphire has shown that geography does not define the future. He said that even with limited resources and difficult terrain, progress is possible. He praised the role of officers, teachers, ASHAs, BPMs, and all field workers, calling them the real changemakers. He said they are not just doing a job but building lives and that they are the hope connecting the government to the people.
Looking to the future, the DC encouraged the district to aim higher. He said that Kiphire must move from being aspirational to becoming inspirational. He urged everyone to dream of a Kiphire where every child goes to school, every woman has access to clean water and safe childbirth, and no farmer or artisan is left out.
He also announced the upcoming launch of the Akanksha Hut at the Kiphire Town Council Market Complex. He said this is more than a market stall; it is a platform for the people’s dreams and aspirations.
