[dropcap]D[/dropcap]eputy Commissioner of Dimapur district, Kesonyü Yhome, has been inducted as president of the Bharat Scouts and Guides’ Association (BSGAD) of Dimapur on Saturday. The administrator was inducted during a ceremony that was conducted in the deputy commsiioner’s conference hall in the administrtaive compex in the town.Addressing a gathering of scouts and guides from various schools and district officials, the newly inducted president maintained that BSGA is not just an organization or an association but it is also a movement to become better citizens. The basic principle of BSGA is duty; duty towards others and duty to self, he added. While stating that he was honoured to be inducted in the BSGA, Yhome also appealed all the scouts and guides to work hard and become peace loving and good citizens to the society.
Scouts and guides from Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Vidhya Bhawan School, Eastern Academy Higher Secondary School and Assisi Higher Secondary School presented special items while the flag ceremony was conducted by DM Agay Joseph, District Organizing Commissioner (Scout). The programme was chaired by Kevileno Haikam, District Organizing Commissioner (Guide).
