Dimapur, April 6 (EMN): In pursuance to Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) notification No NBE-8/Ad- MISC (l0)/2016-17, dated March 16, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dimapur, Kesonyu Yhome has directed all the schools under Dimapur District to implement the said notification and see to it that the school bags of the children do not exceed 10% of the weight of the child i.e. the bags of school children should not be disproportionately heavy detrimental to the body of the child.Also having been observed that many school buses, vehicles do not have protective bars, which is unsafe and risky for the children, DC also directed all the schools to put the window bars in vehicles for the safety of the children with immediate effect. Further, DC cautioned that strict action will be taken for non-compliance of the order.
