Dimapur, Oct. 29 (EMN): The Dimapur Ao Youth Organisation (Dayo) has condemned the alleged forced closure of East India Transport Agency run by two Naga women at Golaghat Road near DDSC, Dimapur, by anti-social elements on October 19.

Dayo has claimed that the entrepreneurs were forced to close down the shop due to ‘non compliance towards syndicate dictates and notices.’

“This is a very alarming situation when citizens of the state, especially in Dimapur are voicing out for making our state a more peaceful state and try to attract investors from outside the state as well as to promote local entrepreneurs, who are trying to start business for self sufficiency and economic independence,” a press release issued by Dayo’s media cell stated on Thursday.

Dayo felt that the presence of such anti-social elements has been a menace and the biggest hindrance to transform Dimapur into a better city. It, therefore, demanded the state government to take the matter seriously; book the culprits and award exemplary punishment so that such unscrupulous elements are put behind bars forever. Dayo also stated that it is the duty of the government to protect its citizens and provide an environment where everyone could live in peace and harmony.

Dayo also called upon all the civil societies not only to condemn such crimes but also to check and report to the government agencies and control the growth of such evil practices that hamper the growth and well-being of the society. It further called upon the people to unite and fight against syndicate system that is ‘killing our economic growth and creating fear psychosis within the minds of the entrepreneurs as well as the general public’.
