Dimapur, May 7 (EMN): Considering the plight of the sick people and those in urgent need of life saving drug, Dimapur Ao Youth Organisation (Dayo) extended a helping hand by arranging a courier service for transportation of medicines for the citizens of Mokokchung, who are on life-time medication.
Dayo representative Imti Jamir informed Eastern Mirror that life saving drugs for more than 150 patients was dispatched to Mokokchung on May 7. He also informed that the vehicle used for transportation was sanitised and all the medicines were carefully re-packed. He said the consignment would be unloaded at Impur Clinic from where the concerned individuals would collect medicines.
He also informed that everything was done following the government’s guidelines adding even medicines were purchased through proper channel. The medicines consisted mostly for diabetes, heart and high blood pressure patients.
Jamir has attributed the generous contributions of well-wishers and selfless service of its volunteers for the success of the programme. Jamir also pointed out financial constraint despite its willingness to help the people during this time of crisis.
Dayo medical service team was led by Imtirong Amri, Wangim Konyak, and Moamanen Imchen.
