DAN formally extends support to Kovind

A press release from the press secretary of the DAN Chairman, T R Zelaing stated that, "The Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN) under the leadership of Chairman DAN and former Chief Minister, TR Zeliang today extended unanimous support to NDA Presidential Candidate, Ram Nath Kovind at a program held at IMC Hall, Dimapur for the upcoming presidential election to be held on 17 July." The press release also stated that the DAN Chairman TR Zeliang pressed upon Kovind to remember the State of Nagaland when he became the President of India. "I urge you not to forget a small State called Nagaland when you become the President of this great Country," it stated. The Chief Minister Dr Shürhozelie Liezietsu was also present at the meeting. Kovind was accompanied by Union Minister, Narendra Singh Tomar; BJP National Gen. Secy, Ram Madhav; Lok Sabha MP, Rakesh Singh; Rajya Sabha MP, Ram Vichar Netam; NEDA National Convenor, Himanta Biswa Sarma and a host of Ministers and dignitaries from various States.
