Dimapur, May 15 (EMN): With an aim cater the health of remote villages, Development Association of Nagaland (DAN) & Caritas India organised free health camps at Shikavi, Toshezu, Ghowoto village from May13 to 15.
The health camps were conducted under the supervision of Dr. Moa Jamir, District Vector Borne Officer, Dimapur and Dr. Sashi Jamir, Medical Office, Dhansaripar CHC.
A total of 137 sick patients were treated during the 3 health camps. DNA & Caritas India under intensified malaria control phase 3 has been working in 382 villages across Dimapur, Mon, Wokha and Mokokchung to reduce the burden of malaria in the state through BCC activities, timely diagnosis and treatment of malaria cases and capacity building of Community Health Volunteers (CHVs) ensuring malaria prevention and saving lives.
It has informed that 10 such free health camps will be conducted in Mon, Wokha and Mokokchung during the month May and June, marking June as Anti Malaria Month with the rest of the country.
