Dimapur, Oct. 15 (EMN): The Dalit India Chamber Of Commerce (DICCI) inaugurated its office in Guwahati on Monday and officially initiated its first chapter with Nagaland with the appointment of K.Kathi Chishi Managing Director of Toka Multipurpose Cooperative Society Dimapur as the coordinator for Nagaland. Nagaland will be the first chapter inaugurated in the northeast states. This was stated in a press note received on Mon. Oct. 15.
"The organisation currently has about 150 members in the Northeast state and has been already assisting beneficiaries all over Northeast under the Stand-up India Scheme in partnership with Indian Oil Cooperation, Bharat Petroleum cooperation Limited by means of providing LPG Tankers to Schedule Tribe/Schedule Caste", stated the press note.
In total the organisation was stated to have assisted about 150 beneficiaries to the tune of INR 1 Cr bank loan and to become a direct partner of Indian Oil Cooperation limited as oil tankers contractors and assisting the beneficiaries with direct corporate tie-ups with various banks, truck industries like TATA, Ashok Leyland, REIS to name a few.
According to the press release, it was maintained that 'so far all beneficiaries of Northeast have been selected by Indian Oil Cooperation. The highest beneficiary was from Nagaland with 57 beneficiaries, with an expected sanction of INR 57 Cr'.
