Kohima, May 25 (EMN): The D Block Panchayat, Kohima, has revised the rate of local pork at Rs. 220 in the colony. The decision to this effect was taken during its executive meeting held on May 20.
Panchayat warned that if anyone is found selling local pork above the prescribed rate within its jurisdiction would be penalised with fine of Rs 5,000 and also seize the meat. Panchayat also decided that no shop in the colony would be allowed to open on Sundays and defaulters would be penalised. The chairman of D Block Panchayat, Kohima, Kevisatuo Yhome further cautioned that anyone found creating nuisance and disturbing the colony under the influence of liquor and other substances would not be tolerated.
