Dr Neikiesalie Kire dedicated the D Block Council-cum-multipurpose building in Kohima to strengthen community development.

DIMAPUR — The D Block Council-cum-multipurpose building was dedicated by former minister Dr. Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire in the presence of Thenusou Sekhose, Councillor of Kohima Municipal Council, and Kevi Vizo, Chairman of D Block Council, in Kohima on March 14.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Kire called upon the community to make the best use of the provided facility for the benefit of the people. According to an update, Dr. Kire also expressed optimism that the building will become a place of blessings and fetch a positive impact towards community welfare and all-round development.
“This occasion marks a very important milestone for the D Block ward. This building is not just a physical structure; it represents our collective commitment to strengthen our community participation and to improve and strengthen the local governance,” Thenusou Sekhose stated.

She thanked Kohima Smart City Development Limited for supporting and constructing this facility. She stated that the Smart City Initiative has a vision to improve the urban infrastructure and uplift the living standard of the community.
Sekhose also thanked Dr. Kire, under whose tenure as Advisor of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, this project was initiated.
Kevi Vizo maintained that the completion of the building has fulfilled the long-felt desire of the community.
Thanking the government and all the concerned for the successful completion of the building, he said that the facility will now be used for social gatherings, youth and church activities, birthday programmes, etc.
Ruokuovilhou Belho, head GB, and Keduovilie Linyii, ex-chairman, also delivered short speeches.
