CYO, TKS advance to quarter-finals of NSF Trophy

KOHIMA — Chedema Youth Organisation (CYO) and Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS) secured their spots in the quarter-finals after winning their respective pre-quarter final matches at IG Stadium Kohima during the ongoing 25th NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy.

In the first pre-quarter final, CYO defeated Rever Gangtok SC 4-0. Lenboilun opened the scoring at 39', followed by a second goal at 42'. Daniel and Zemik added goals in the 60th and 84th minutes, respectively. Robinson (99) of CYO was named Player of the Match, awarded by Sinhilo Thong, former NSF Vice President and member of the steering committee.

TKS overcame Mez & Co with a 3-1 victory. Goals for TKS were scored by Chanso (27'), Wongshung (83'), and Samson (90+5'), while Mez & Co’s lone goal came from Haokhohen (64').

On Monday, Rever Gangtok SC will face CYO in the first pre-quarter final at 12 noon, while TKS will clash with Mez & Co in the second match at 2 PM, both at IG Stadium, Kohima.
