DIMAPUR — A three-day children centric outreach programme of the Charity Welfare Society Khezhakeno (CWSK) began on Wednesday at Mt. Kahu Christian School, Khezhakeno.
An update from the society stated that the resource person of the inaugural session, Neikodo Chikha, senior PGT at Government High School, Khezhakeno, spoke on the usage of mobile phone in the present context.
He stated that use of modern gadgets have greatly impacted the lives of many individuals, particularly the students due to overtime usage. He added that technology has improved the learning skill of the student, if used wisely.
“Mobile is more or less a storehouse of knowledge accessible both online and offline, it is a source of learning. The technology has shrunk the whole world into a global village,” Chikha said.
He, however, pointed out that excessive usage of mobile phone causes destruction in a student life failing to perform the daily necessary tasks. He, therefore, advised the students not to waste time engaging with unnecessary apps and know the ill effects of mobile usage as overtime usage causes health problem.
The programme was led by assistant teacher, Luvieo Koza, while an invocation prayer was said by Neikrolhou Koza.
