Customers can avail services, says State Bank of India

Dimapur, March 24 (EMN): The State Bank of India, Regional Business Office, Dimapur has informed that in all category of bank branches identified for opening, the following essential banking services will be made available: cash deposits and cash withdrawals; cheque clearance – presenting and accepting cheques for payments/transfers etc.; remittances – intra and inter-bank transfer of funds- NEFT, RTGS; and government business. A press release from the office on Tuesday informed that some of the SBI branches identified for normal functioning have been authorised to handle state government business.

It has also decided to reduce business transaction hours at bank branches in the interest of public health and safety as per details below:

“All outsourced ATM Cash Replenishment Agencies (CRAs) will replenish cash at all important ATM sites will also ensure cash availability of own bank branch managed ATMs,” it stated, adding that all precautionary measures for preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) were in place.
