Curfew in Sivasagar-Nagaland border

Dimapur, Sep. 12 (DIPR): As per order received from the additional district magistrate of Sivasagar district in Assam, night curfew has been reinforced from 6 pm to 6 am in the areas of Assam side bordering Nagaland, thereby prohibiting movement of any person, group of persons and vehicles in the 5 km belt in Assam side of Sivasagar district bordering Nagaland. However, security personnel and officials on duty are exempted from the purview of this prohibitory order. The prohibitory order which came into force on 26th July 2017 shall remain in force for a period of 60 days.
