Dimapur, Nov. 13 (EMN): Combined Technical Association of Nagaland (CTAN) has resolved to make registration compulsory for all technical graduates in their respective association without which they would not be allowed to appear for the NPSC examination.
The resolution to this effect was taken during the group’s general meeting that was conducted on November 9 in the conference hall of the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF), CTAN stated on Wednesday.
It maintained that compulsory registration was purely to restrict contract appointments and also reject those candidates who never cooperate with their respective associations.
The association, had earlier, decided to implement the said resolution from 2018 but was kept in abeyance due to some technical difficulties. It finally resolved to implement the same from November 9, 2019.
The association informed that all the associations would be undertaking mass registration drive (old/ new) to prepare list of candidates, which would be forwarded to NPSC before December 21 for necessary actions.
The association also resolved to write to all the departmental heads under government of Nagaland with an appeal in written to send posts lying vacant, filled through contract, ad-hoc/ fixed and those vacancies which are likely to be vacated in the next 12 months.
The meeting was attended by representatives from Forestry Graduates Association of Nagaland, Computer Science and Information Technology Association of Nagaland, Civil Engineers Association of Nagaland, Agricultural Engineering Graduates Association of Nagaland, Association of Electronics and Communication Engineers of Nagaland, Graduate Electrical Engineers Association of Nagaland, Horticulture Graduates and Students’ Association of Nagaland, Association of Mechanical Engineers Nagaland, and Nagaland Medical Graduates Association.
Meanwhile, CTAN expressed gratitude to the incumbent NSF executives in their efforts and pursuance for setting up a Staff Selection Board in Nagaland. CTAN has acknowledged the NSF for the effort.
