- DIMAPUR — The Combined Technical Association of
Nagaland (CTAN) and the Nagaland NET Qualified Forum (NNQF) have announced a
public dialogue to be held on June 7, at 11:00 am at the Angami Women
Organisation Hall in Kohima.
- The event will focus on the requisition of the contentious
147 assistant professor and librarian posts to the Nagaland Public Service
Commission (NPSC), alongside issues related to “open competition, fair
recruitment process and transparency.”
- According to a press statement issued on Wednesday, the
dialogue is being organised in response to what the two organisations describe
as the Nagaland government’s continued silence following the expiry of a
requisition deadline set earlier this month.
- “Given the lapse of the deadline and the silence of the
Government on the issue of requisition, the CTAN and NNQF through the public
dialogue intend to create a platform for discussion. This public discussion is
aimed at bringing in varied perspectives with regard to the requisition debate
while also raising public awareness and identifying probable solutions,” the
statement read.

- The organisations stated that the public dialogue “goes
beyond the issue of requisition” as it will discuss related concerns of fair
recruitment process, open competition, and transparency in the Common
Educational Services Examination. “Therefore, it is pertinent that the
stakeholders and the public are made aware of it and have a say in their
fundamental right to equal opportunity.”
- CTAN and NNQF have invited all concerned citizens,
stakeholders, and government authorities to participate in what they described
as a “peaceful and democratic assertion of rights.”
