Dimapur, Dec. 3 (EMN): CT University in Punjab will launch a free Indian Administrative Service (IAS) programme on December 4 by providing one year free training for IAS aspirants of Nagaland through virtual mode.
This was informed by pro-chancellor of the university, Manbir Singh, during a press conference held at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur, on Saturday. He informed that students from any part of Nagaland can register through the website www.ctunibversity.in or call them on phone nos. 9056500123, 9774184433 and 1900137777.
He shared that the programme was part of CT University corporate social responsibility to do something for those students who cannot come to Punjab but can study virtually. He stated that the objective of the programme was to bring Nagaland and Punjab together under Naga-Punjab education initiative. He informed that there are currently 2000 students from Tripura, Sikkim, West Bengal, Manipur studying free courses for IAS.
He also updated that CT group is giving away scholarships worth INR 38 crore in the entire country to commemorate its 25th anniversary this year. He has asked the students from Nagaland to apply for the scholarship stating that they can avail upto 100% in all the courses of CT University.
The university principal, Rohit Sharma, also updated that they will organise the first Nagaland education summit-cum-excellence award which would be held on December 4. The main objective was to teach about the latest pedagogy, hybrid mode of teaching, and how to transform the model education system.
He informed that about 80 teachers from 38 schools in Kohima, Dimapur, and Chümoukedima would be awarded for excellence during the programme.
