DIMAPUR — In a significant move, the Chief Secretary of Nagaland has issued an office memorandum, directing the termination of employees appointed on a regular basis without sanctioned posts and those appointed against supernumerary posts that automatically stand abolished after the retirement of the incumbent.

This decision follows a Cabinet resolution (CAB-1/14/2023) dated November 9, 2023, the chief secretary stated in the office memo.

All departments have been instructed to initiate termination proceedings against employees falling under these categories and furnish their action reports to the Personnel and Administrative Reforms department by January 1, 2024.
