
Dimapur, April 25 (EMN): Amid nationwide lockdown in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, the 78th CRPF, Zubza organised a civic action programme at Sechu-Zubza village on April 22 and the 23rd and at Chedima on April 25.
During the programme, the troops distributed 700 kg of rice, 140 kg of dal and other essentials and preventive items to both the Sechu Zubza and Chedima villagers, the troops' official informed in an update on Saturday.
The 78 Bn since its induction in Nagaland has been organising such programmes every year and meeting the people to share their grievances and provide the basic amenities.
On behalf of the commandant-78Bn, Ram Chandra 2 I/C expressed that such gestures would enhance the bondage between the villagers and security personnel.
He also said that the CRPF is a friend for the people in need and is looking for more such programmes in the future.
Further, he also urged the villagers to take an active part in the fight against the Covid-19 and strictly follow the preventive measure.
