Kohima, Jan. 22: The 78 Bn CRPF organised a civic action program at Chedema village under Kohima district by distributing sports items to the village students’ union football club and Government Middle School Chedema on January 20.
The items were officially hand over by Anil Kumar Jha 2nd-in-command 78 Bn CRPF. In his address during the brief function, the officer said that contributing of items was just a coming together but the main objective is to build relations among the forces and the citizens for peaceful coexistence in the society.
He said the sports items were contributed to develop games and sports amongst the youth so that they can practice and excel towards bringing laurels to the state and the nation in future. Kumar also hoped the school and college going students would make good use of the items and learn to be physically and mentally fit.
The programme was chaired by D. Richa, assistant commandant 78 Bn CRPF while vote of thanks was proposed by W. Lasuh, assistant commandant 78 Bn CRPF.
