[caption id="attachment_209763" align="aligncenter" width="600"] CRPF deputy inspector general (Ops), Sarbjit Singh, giving away solar street light facilities to the villagers of Razaphe Hau village under civic action programme on September 29.[/caption] Dimapur, Sep. 30 (EMN): The solar lighting facilities provided by the personnel of 173 Battalion CRPF based at Airfield in Dimapur under Civic Action Programme (CAP) has helped lighten up the streets of Razaphe Hau Village. The civic action programme was undertaken under the aegis of Rajesh Kumar, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Manipur and Nagaland Sector, on September 29. During the programme, deputy inspector general (Ops), Sarbjit Singh, gave away solar street light facilities to the villagers. Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Sarbjit Singh, DIGP (Ops) Kohima, spoke about the importance of maintaining good relationship between the security forces and the local population. He emphasised that through such programmes, the forces are trying to uplift the people and maintain cordial relationship with the rest of the country. The programme was also attended by Joseph Keishing, Commandant of 173 Battalion, along with prominent people of the areas including media persons and NGOs. The chairman and Gaon Buras of the village also felicitated the CRPF and expressed their gratitude for the service rendered to them. They expressed hope that the facilities provided to them would also lighten up their life as well.
