Naga Hospital in Kohima on Tuesday.
- DIMAPUR — Two
personnel of the 78 battalion Central Reserved Police Force (CRPF) located at
Sechü-Zubza namely Hengoulal Khongsai and Bapina Maharana have voluntarily
donated blood to save the life of a critically ill patient at Naga Hospital in
Kohima on Tuesday.
- In an update the commandant of 78 battalion CRPF hailed
their gesture as a shining example of compassion and commitment to community
service.
- “Blood donation is a noble act that can save countless
lives. The selfless act of these jawans exemplifies the spirit of sacrifice and
compassion that the CRPF stands for,” the statement read.

- It mentioned that the 78 battalion CRPF has long been active
in community outreach initiatives especially in times of crisis. From
organising medical camps and civic action programmes to honouring local youth
for their achievements and providing aid during natural disasters and health
emergencies, it stated that the battalion has earned the trust and respect of
the local population.
- Lauding the efforts of the jawans, the commandant said, “Our
jawans are trained not just to protect, but to serve. Blood donation is one of
the many ways we express our solidarity and support for the people we live
among.”
- Meanwhile, the CRPF reaffirmed commitment to its guiding
motto, “Service and Loyalty,” encouraging its personnel to continue
participating in life-saving initiatives and strengthening their bond with the
communities they serve.
