- KOHIMA — The
Christian Revival Church (CRC) of Phek village celebrated its golden jubilee
(1974-2024) on December 21 and 22 on the theme, "...Ebenezer: Thus far the
lord has helped us." (1 Samuel 7:12).
- According to an update from the organisers, the speaker of
Sunday morning service was Rev. Senuto Ringa, general secretary of Nagaland
Christian Revival Church (NCRC), who shared the word of God based on the theme,
emphasising the significance of the jubilee as a biblical milestone.
- Rev. Ringa reflected on the church's 50-year journey and
recalled God’s faithfulness throughout the years. He encouraged the
congregation to introspect whether they still stand firm on the foundation laid
by their predecessors.
- Stressing the essence of liberty in the spirit of jubilee,
he urged believers to forgive one another in the name of the Lord and move
forward with hope in Jesus Christ, leaving behind past struggles and focusing
on a brighter spiritual future.
- Kuzholuzo Nienu, MLA and leader of NPF Legislature Party,
who hosted the golden jubilee feast, delivered greetings to the congregation.
Expressing his joy over God’s abundant love, Nienu highlighted jubilee as a
time for reconciliation between humanity and God.
- He exhorted the believers to go beyond being lukewarm
Christians and strive for a deeper faith, transformation and unconditional
love. He also emphasised the church's role in saving souls and growing
spiritually through the jubilee celebration.
- The event featured release of a souvenir by Rev. Z David
Koza, executive secretary of CCCRC, marking the historic occasion.
- The worship service was led by Veshe Chizo, while scripture
was read by Surhotalu Soho. The offertory prayer was offered by Sapi Puro and
special praise was performed by the CYE of CRC Phek village and CYE PVBC.
- The highlight of the celebration was the Lord’s Supper,
administered by Rev. Vekhohu Dawhou, bringing the congregation together in a
solemn moment of reflection and unity.
