Dimapur, Nov. 29 (EMN): The Cradle 2 Crayons Pre-School held its 2nd annual day celebration cum on Wednesday at Red Cross conference hall, Officers’ Hill, Kohima, with Youth Pastor of Faith Harvest Church, Akumtila Kikon as the main speaker.
Speaking on the occasion, the speaker said every moment of our live is a blessing from Almighty God, so one should make the best use of it. She advised the graduating students to keep in mind that they are special in their own way and remember that God loves them and will never leave them wherever they go. She also challenged them to dream big in their life.
To parents of the students, she said every parent has power and responsibilities to shape the destiny of their children, therefore, she urged them to make the best use of their formative years. Children have a sense of spontaneous curiosity so they must be taught how to think not what to think, she said.
She also said that pre-school is often referred to as the questioning stage as such learning for them should be fun. She advised the parents to devote quality time for their children. “Our role on our children can never be replaced neither by TV nor phones,” she added.
Seyiekhrielhou Kuotsu and Dr. Ekonthung Dannise Mozhui spoke on behalf of parents. Both of them expressed their heartiest greetings and happiness to director and teachers of the school for taking care of their children and giving love and affection in their absence. Kuotsu described the day as a day of both happiness and sadness as the students would be leaving the school after finishing their pre-school. However, he said that the school would always be a part of their families even in the days to come.
Director of the school Nchumbeni Ngullie wished all the graduating students a success in their endeavour. She also thanked the speaker, parents, and teachers for gracing the programme.
Highlights of the programme included entertainment items such as ‘Everything I am’ and ‘Jesus loves me’ were presented by Crayoners and chicken and hokey pokey dance by pre-nursery and nursery. Other presentations were Bible alphabetic recitation, poem recitation and educational songs, ‘I thank God.’
