Dimapur, Oct. 21 (EMN): Natak FC retained the top spot with 12 points in an emphatic 3 – 1 win over Ruboo United as the league entered the fifth week. The league leaders were awarded the first goal as Thepfoulhousa whipped in a low cross from a free kick which was collected by centre forward Pokhotso, guiding the ball safely into the net. Having gained momentum and ball possession, midfielder Rohit came dribbling down hard from the left with a powerful long-range effort which struck the left-hand post, however Supong found the rebound and slotted the ball past the keeper.
In somewhat similar fashion, Pokhotso swung in a thumping right-footed shot from the left which pinged the crossbar as the veteran Sanjit slammed the returning ball to score goal number three. As the match progressed into the second half, Ruboo got their game faces on making several attempts to find the net. In one such encounter, Jungshi placed a deep ball for Aito who broke his marker to fire a fierce shot at the Natak goalpost to score the solitary goal for Ruboo United.
