Dimapur, March 25 (EMN): A cultural society called the Sanskar Bharati Poorvottar organized a five-day workshop about the cultural integration and peace initiative Yuva Kala Sadhana Sivir (YKSS) at the Northeast Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC) in Dimapur. The event was conducted from March 25 to the 29th, an update from the YKSS informed on Sunday.
The inaugural function was conducted at an open air theatre of the NEZCC garden. Amir Chandra, joint organising secretary from the All India Sanskar Bharati inaugurated the programme, it was informed.
The workshop will focus on various art forms such as theatre, classical music of India; the katha and Odishi dance forms; Naga folk dances; instruments the tabla, the flute and Naga drums.
Art professionals from across the country such as New Delhi, Gorakhpur, Silchar, Lucknow, Kolkata, Nagaland and Rajasthan will be interacting with the north-eastern youths, the update stated.
The event is supported by the Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti and the ministry of Culture, it was informed.
