DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 27: All Nagaland Counsellors Association (ANCA) observed Counsellors Day under the banner “Mental well beings of adolescence” at Kohima Krippa Foundation.
President of ANCA, Rev. Fr. C. Joseph, in his keynote address asked everyone to look to the past to find clues for healthy living today. He said the history of human evolution shows a definitive link between our physical health and psychological well-being.
Dr. Viketoulie Pienyü, senior MO of State Mental Health Institute, Kohima spoke on substance abuse on use of drugs, alcohol and chemicals and its result in physical, psychological, emotional harms to the user or others. Ravolu spoke on ‘Being a Christian counsellor,’ while Dr. ZaviseRume, associate professor, Guidance & Counselling Cell, SCERT-Nagaland expressed his desire to have a will power to change and help others to be better person.
Rev. Fr. Boniface, SJ and a couple from Germany were the panel discussion on substance abuse.
The counselling students of St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama presented the song titled ‘We are the world’.
