Kohima, July 2 (EMN): A village council in Phek district has asked local authorities to reconstruct staff quarters that are said to have been damaged by work being done on a two-land road in the district.
The Phek Village Council has written to the district forest officer, chief veterinary officer and the area’s child development project officer of Phek district to reconstruct staff quarters for damage caused to the quarters by work on the two-lane Pfutsero-Phek road, said to be part of the third package of the Special Accelerated Road Development Programme for the north-eastern region.
In a letter addressed to the departments, the village council stated that the damage compensation for the staff quarters was entirely for Phek district headquarters only.
The signatories urged said departments to immediately find an alternative site and to reconstruct the damaged staff quarters as a replacement.
