DIMAPUR — A coordination meeting for the 8th edition of the Nagaland Emergency Preparedness Exercise (NEPEX) was held at DC’s Conference Hall, Niuland, on Monday.
T L Kiusumong Tikhir, Deputy Commissioner and Chairman of District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Niuland, said the meeting was a preliminary discussion for the upcoming NEPEX 2026, which is scheduled to be held on April 30, said an update by DIPR.
Stating that the mock drill was a test of their capabilities in real-time disaster scenarios, Tikhir urged all stakeholders to participate in the upcoming events with all seriousness.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Niuland, Atsangla, also distributed work assignments to various departments and civil societies during the meeting, while Dr. Rovizelhou Kuotsu, District Project Associate, DDMA, Niuland, gave an insightful presentation on NEPEX, said the update.
