Dimapur, June 1 (EMN): Close on the heels of a stupefying Lok Sabha win by the People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) government who have endorsed “Change is coming,” Nagaland Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker Zhaleo Rio, has challenged the party leaders to exemplify true agents of change in deeds.
He was addressing a group of party leaders at his residence on June 1 who had called on him in regard to the by-poll results of Lok Sabha, a press release from the press secretary of the NDPP 5th Ghaspani-II AC.
Rio conveyed his gratitude to all the electorates, especially his constituency and Dimapur district for the support.
“The victory has been achieved under arduous supervision of the NDPP party workers at all levels in creating another record of being the highest percentage of votes casted and votes secured in Dimapur district, thereby giving the PDA candidate a thumping win over rival NPF candidate,” he stated.
Rio also said that leaders have to work as servants for the welfare of people in order to pave way for change to develop and progress. The gathered leaders assured their utmost service.
