The much-awaited construction of Kiruphema football ground is underway with the aim to provide basic and quality sports at the grassroots.

The ongoing development is under construction free of cost, under the initiative of M Venkateswara Rao, general manager of M/s Gayatri Projects Limited.

Rao has assured to complete the ground leveling by February 2021 with all required machineries and urged the villagers to cooperate with 4-lane construction, which is in preparation under the village jurisdiction.

Thepfüyiengu Vielie, chairman KGC, assured that new facilities will soon be added to the football ground once the ground construction is complete.

Expecting to help many different organisations, from league clubs to schools and universities, convener construction committee, Kuobou Mezhünyü also stressed on partnering with football schools in the near future.

KGC also acknowledged M/s Gayatri Projects Limited for making the project a reality and expressed hope that through the new football ground, many notable sportsmen and women will rise and bring laurels to the community and the village.
