Consolidated revised guidelines for lockdown in Nagaland

Dimapur, April 20 (EMN): The government of Nagaland on Monday issued consolidated revised guidelines for lockdown to be implemented with immediate effect till May 3.

According to the revised guidelines, the international border Nagaland shares with Myanmar, and the inter-state borders with Assam, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh will remain sealed.

Restrictions on Inter-district movement of people will continue, except for medical reasons.

All educational, training and coaching institutions will remain closed. Plying of buses and taxis are barred.

Cinema halls, malls, shopping complexes, sport complexes, auditoriums and assembly halls shall remain closed. All social, political, sports, entertainment, academic, cultural, religious functions remain prohibited.

Movement of all goods vehicles will be allowed, and shops and outlets dealing with food grains, food items, vegetables, daily use items and other essential commodities, will be allowed to open for extended hours as per the schedule fixed by the respective deputy commissioners. However, inter-state movement of vehicles and people will not be allowed in Bhandari subdivision.

Shops and outlets dealing with other items and goods will continue to remain closed. Salons, dine-in restaurants, departmental stores and malls shall also continue to remain closed.  All public places in the state like parks, museums, libraries etc., will continue to remain closed and there will be restrictions on gatherings at any public place of more than five people.

Services provided by self-employed persons like electricians, IT repairs, plumbers, carpenters, and all construction activities, all agricultural and farming related activities including veterinary services, MGNREGA activities will be permitted.

Functioning of the government offices in the state will be as per the Home department office memorandum No. GAB-1/COM/GEN-1/2020 Dated Kohima, April 13, and all the offices and departments providing essential services shall continue to function as per previous arrangements
