Dimapur, Nov. 27 (EMN): Considering the total breakdown of governance and infrastructure development on all fronts, Dimapur District Congress Committee (DCC) has urged the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) president K Therie to contest the ensuing election from Dimapur district.
This was conveyed by Congress party officials from Dimapur comprising of DCC Dimapur, ACCCs, DMCC, AMCC, DDYC and Minority Cell, which called upon K Therie on November 27 at Dimapur to discuss on the upcoming 2018 State general election.
The members had discussed on the total negligence of the Dimapur district leading to the pathetic conditions brought about by present NPF led DAN government and negligence by representatives of the district. The members felt that the district, being the main commercial hub and gateway connecting the mainland, has been ignored leading to poor condition of electricity, eroded roads, heavy flooding of certain areas, collapsed bridges, degraded economy and commerce and constant threats by anti-social elements.
In order to safeguard the citizens of Dimapur, the house felt the need to urgently elect strong representatives, who have clear vision to bring back importance and development to Dimapur district.
After threadbare discussion, Dimapur District Congress Committee and all frontals requested the NPCC president K Therie to consider contesting from Dimapur district. The DDCC has assured to take every step to ensure that he is elected for the welfare of the Dimapur district. This was stated in a press release issued by Dimapur DCC president Dietho Rhakho.
